Hot shooting gives the Lakers a 97-67 victory over the Statesmen of Lincoln Trail. On a night where both coaches wore no shoes to raise money for Haiti relief, the Lakers finally found some relief in their tenuous shooting woes. They shot 10 for 17 from behind the arc and 19 of 25 from the charity stripe. Layton Seeber had 19 points on 7 of 12 from the field and 5 of 8 from the 3 point line. Paris Carter had another monster day with 24 points on 9 of 13 from the field and 6 of 11 from the line. When asked what the difference was from the other 20 games Carter replied, "We're just practicing hard and coming together as a team. "The shooters are knocking down shots and the point guards are making plays." The Lakers next contest is Saturday night in Ina, IL against Rend Lake College. Tip off is at 7:30pm.
