Southwestern Illinois College beat St. Louis CC at Forest Park 14-4 on Wednesday for Head Coach Neil Fiala's 1000th win as a head coach.  Fiala began his coaching career in 1984 in the St. Louis Metro Collegiate League.  In addition, he was the manager of the RIver City Rascals in the Frontier Independent professional baseball league for three seasons and spent one season as the head coach of the Fairview Heights Mets in the Central Illinois Collegiate League.  At Southwestern Illinois, Fiala is in his 17th year and the win was his 644th at SWIC.  His teams have won 5 conference and 5 regional championships including last years Region 24 title while at SWIC.
