Shawn Spainhoward (fr) and Austin Thater (fr) combined for a 1 hit shutout on Wednesday against Mineral Area College in a non-conference tilt.  The only hit of the game came from the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the ninth off Thater. 

The Blue Storm offense scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning on a 2 run double by Brett Erlinger (fr), an rbi single by Joe Huber (so) and a two out rbi triple by Josh Schaefer (so). Erlinger's two out single in the 8th drove in the the Storm's 5th and final run. 

The Blue Storm record now stands at 7-3 with 6 games ahead in the next 4 days.
