CENTRALIA - The Wabash Valley College baseball Warriors split a double header with Kaskaskia College Saturday.

Kaskaskia took the first game, 3-2, with WVC winning the second, 8-6 in 11 innings.

Ryan Rogers started for WVC in the opener. He went 7.0 innings and gave up two runs, both earned, on six hits with two strike outs. Julio Morales pitched 1.0 innings and gave up a run, earned, on one hit and one walk with a strike out.

Each team scored a run in the fourth. WVC added a run in the eighth but Kaskaskia scored two in the last of the frame.

Jovan Gonzalez and Dom Spadafora were both two for four to lead the Warriors. Casey Dishman was one for two with two walks. Gonzalez and Dishman scored for the Warriors.

Moises Rodriguez, the last of five WVC pitchers, won the second game. He went 3.1 innings and gave up a hit with four strike outs. He also hit two batters.

Blake Drake started and went 1.1 innings. He gave up four runs, all earned, on four hits and two walks with one hit batsman. Tory Doerr pitched 2.1 innings and gave up four hits with two strike outs. Nathan Humphrey pitched two-thirds of an inning and gave up two runs, both earned, on three hits. J.T. Stenftenagel pitched 3.1 innings and gave up three hits with three strike outs.

WVC scored two in the top of the 11th to take the win.

Kaskaskia scored two in both the first and second innings. WVC narrowed it to 4-3 in the top of the third, and added three more in the fifth. But Kaskaskia added two in the last of the frame to knot it at 6-6.

Ryan Santos was three for six for WVC with three RBIs. He had two stolen bases. Daniel Nichols was two for four with an RBI, two walks and two runs scored. Michael Mosby was two for five with three RBIs, a triple, a walk and a run scored. Gonzalez was two for six with an RBI and a run scored.
